Every brand starts somewhere, and for us, our story begins with a single canvas cap. It wasn’t perfect — actually it was a misprint! The embroidery machine didn’t finish the full logo, the stitching was a bit off, and it definitely didn’t meet the standards we’re known for today. But to me, this imperfect cap means a lot, and here’s why...
While most of the early prototypes and samples were scrapped, I held onto that first cap. To me, it’s more than just a piece of headwear — it’s a reminder of where we started back in 2023 when Kaldi Clothing Co was just an idea on paper.
I kept it because I knew one day I’d want to look back and see how far we’ve come. I keep it hanging right above the doorframe in my home office, so I can grab it easily on my way out. Sure, it’s not the best piece in our collection but it’s hands-down one of the most meaningful to me — and a cap I still wear with pride.

It takes me back to those early days when we were just trying to get the brand off the ground — the video calls tweaking designs, heading out on Lake District road trips to get inspiration, spending hours hunting for the best-quality caps, and figuring out how to turn this idea into something real...
Holding onto this cap is a reminder that progress matters much more than perfection. It’s not just about where we started but everything we’ve done to get here. We’re still early in the journey, just hitting the 9-month mark at the end of 2024, but our goal is clear: to make Kaldi Clothing Co known for top-notch craftsmanship and attention to detail — things we’ve been improving on with every lesson learned along the way...
