Peace & Loaf: A Slice of Something Special

Peace & Loaf: A Slice of Something Special

If you know us at Kaldi, you know we love good food almost as much as we love good coffee. So when we heard that Peace & Loaf Pizzeria in Barrow-in-Furness was re-opening following a refurb, we had to check it out. Spoiler alert: it did not disappoint...

Tucked away in Barrow (Unit 45, Trinity Enterprise Centre, Ironworks Rd, LA14 2PN), this pizza spot has always had a rep for serving up some of the best sourdough slices around. The vibe is effortlessly cool - exposed brick, warm lighting, and a playlist so good you’ll find any excuse to stay for one more bite. The space feels both new and familiar, like catching up with an old mate who you haven't seen in a while. It’s still them, just a little sharper.

And then there’s the pizza, damn good sourdough bases cooked to perfection topped with quality ingredients that speak for themselves. John went for the Meat & Heat option, which had just the right amount of fiery kick with the chilli honey drizzled over it. (My mouth is watering as I write) Paired with a very tasty and expertly brewed Flat White coffee straight from their La Marzocco coffee machine which went down a treat!

The team at Peace & Loaf clearly care about what they do, and it shows in every detail, from the dough to the decor. Whether you’re a Barrow local or just passing through, this place is well worth a visit.

Big shout-out to the crew for making us so welcome as always and of course making damn good pizza. We’ll definitely be back for another team pizza night!

Until next time, Do Your Thing Kid...
