When you think coffee adventures, Norway might not be the first destination that comes to mind, but it should be. Our latest adventure of the Kaldi Coffee Trail takes to Oslo’s shimmering harbour and out onto the fjords for a boat cruise where coffee and nature come together perfectly.
The Oslo Fjord Cruise Experience
With the last boat trip of the day booked, John headed to Oslo harbour, where the air carried that crisp, clean bite unique to Scandinavia. It wasn't cold but it was a bit of a grey, overcast day so John was very happy he chose to wear our Minimal embroidered tee to keep him comfortable!
The boat drifted quietly through the harbour and past the huge cruise liners docked up making our boat look like a toy! Once the city disappeared and the water opened up, we were flanked by tiny islands dotted with traditional red, green and yellow cabins and plenty of greenery.
Coffee, The Norwegian Way
Around halfway through the cruise John's caffeine levels started to drop to dangerously low levels, so he headed inside to see what coffee was available, it didn't disappoint! The barista kept it classic, and John’s latte brought just the right warmth to the adventure, so good that he was nearly halfway done before realising he hadn't snapped a picture of it!
He stood by the railing, cup in hand, watching the water hit the side of the boat as it cruised through at a chilled pace. He was wearing our Minimal Embroidered Tee in Walnut (layered under a jacket when the fjiord air got a little cooler later on). The colour worked perfectly out there - rich, grounded, and understated, just like the landscape around us.
Style Meets Coffee Culture
This boat trip was a reminder to why we do the Kaldi Coffee Trail. It’s not just about the drink - it’s about places like this, moments that stay with you, as well as clothes that work without trying too hard. Our Minimal Embroidered Tee is built for that. Easy to wear, comfortable, and designed to last. The kind of piece you don’t have to think about, whether you’re in a busy city café or leaning against the railing of a fjord boat cruising through the water.

Planning Your Own Oslo Coffee Adventure?
Here are two other stops we recommend when you’re back on land visiting this great city:
-
Northland – A café and food bar known especially for its artisan baguettes and pastries. A great stop off in the heart of the city.
-
Honse-Lovisas House – Nestled along the Akerselva river in Oslo’s Sagene district. Once a sawmill master's house built around 1800, it now serves as a cozy café and cultural meeting place and has a great waterfall next to the outdoor seating area.
Our next stop? We’ve got a few ideas. But for now, if you’ve got a good coffee in your hand and a horizon in front of you, you’re already doing it right.
Skål to your next cup!
