The Kaldi Coffee Trail - Bostock Café, East Linton

There’s something great about stumbling across a coffee spot you haven’t been to before. On our latest stop along the Kaldi Coffee Trail, we found exactly that at Bostock Café - tucked away on Dunbar Road in the quiet village of East Linton.

Effortless Style, Thoughtful Design

Set in a restored old post office, Bostock Café mixes a bit of heritage character with a clean, minimal feel. Soft wood tones, big windows, a well-stocked bookshelf, it’s the kind of space that feels easy to settle into. Like everything else there, from the playlists to the ceramics, it’s clear a lot of thought’s gone into the details without it ever feeling overdone.

Coffee That Speaks for Itself

After a morning at Foxlake trying (and mostly failing) to stay on a wakeboard, we were ready for something warm and familiar and Bostock came through. The flat white hit the spot: smooth, well-balanced, and made just right. They use beans from some of Scotland’s top roasters, and you can tell the team knows their stuff without making a big deal out of it.

Pastry Perfection

No stop is complete without something sweet, and the croissant was an easy choice — oversized, buttery, and gone in seconds (John didn’t waste any time). The pastry counter keeps things simple and seasonal, and judging by the steady flow of locals coming through, it’s clearly a go-to spot for more than just the coffee.

More Than Just Coffee

What makes Bostock stand out is how rooted it feels. It’s not just about good coffee — it’s the kind of place that feels part of the community. Whether you’re a local meeting a mate or just passing through like we were, it’s a space that makes you want to slow down and stick around a bit longer.

See You at the Next Stop

Visiting Bostock was a good reminder of why we started the Kaldi Coffee Trail in the first place, to share with you the spots where good coffee, considered craft, and a sense of community all come together. We left East Linton well fed, well caffeinated, and already talking about when we’ll be back.

Until the next cup,
The Kaldi Team
